cupcake wants some updates, ill give him some

1) i have been a total auntie, (hair up (even fringe are up, how so sad) + glasses + bared face + overgrown eyebrows ) studying in library because i can't stand my study table at home which is basically those praying tables used during 'Bai Tin Gong' you know those hokkien and sugarcane day, where there will be a whole roast pork in the middle of the table plus all the yummy deserts lying around.

2) exam is so near!

3) Im gonna fly to my Malaysia home soon, and be a princess.

4) i have bad cravings for chocolates.

5) mood swings because people annoy me when they are stupid.

6) how come all the good plans start when i have exams!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ex : kenny asked me to go BEACH and THE DEEN later???????? what now double degree is relaxing while single degree human who studies only commerce like me have to be a NERD???

ex #2 : Huey Hui's having her birthday today, and asked me to go?!!??!?!!?!?! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

ex #3: of all days, Jeff asked wanna go for quick lunch on Sunday??? WHYYYYYYYYYYYYY NOW!!!!

its sad having to reject these kindof stuff because of books.
ill pass on Huey Hui's bday, might go the Deen for Melanie's birthday since Kenny is going! its so unfair he gets to go while i stay home!!!!!
I still need to eat so i might also go with Jeff and the rest for a QUICK LUNCH. i shall suggest dimsum muahahahahaa!

Asia Cocktail 09

hey People, it has been a really long time since i tell the world what the girl have been doing in the most isolated place on Earth...

it involves plenty of slacking, and procrastination and Gossip Girl.

and of course, i have been baking like crazy whenever im free.

the best record was that i baked 4 different types of muffins in a night..

which was of course very satisfying..

and i don't own the title Clubbing Queen anymore.

SO LAZY TO GET MY ASS UP AND APPLY THOSE MAKEUP.

i think its coz i look too fat in everything and each picture of me turn me off.
and also, the people who go Metros are freshers and shorties and people who turn me off..

and haven't been drinking except during Asia Cocktail, coz im the driver most of the time..

anyway despite everything eventfull/uneventfull that had happened, i shall blog about the latest event that had happened on my 21st year..

As i expected, there would be people flooding into that club that night, hence i decided to follow Austin's car to Metros and save myself from the hassle to find parking spot....
Austin being a very efficient clubber brought alcohol over so we could pre-drink in the car while waiting for the rest to arrive!

New Found Love of Mine

And again, another sem yet to come..
and one of those metros night again..
this time fetched sis along even though we are gonna party with different people due to a particular human friend of hers whose attitude sucks to maximum that no one could ever be compared to.

anyway thats not the main point.
Metros was the same, but somehow theres more white people going nowadays..
not to mention handsome short guys..

My Latest In Thing To Do : BAKING!

recently i have been browsing through a few recipes in the net about baking..
and since im a beginner, i decided to try muffins first..

ive made a low fat banana cake before from a recipe i got off from youtube.
and yes it works.
and tasted good!
:)

but this time im getting my recipes from different blogs and changing the recipe here and there for a freaking low fat and healthy muffin because knowing myself...
i swallow them instead of savoring them..

but i still doubt that it will help,
anyhow the flavour is still there, and its yummy!

And as first timers, obviously i have my failures..
and it happens to be because i copied the wrong amount of ingredients off the web and ended up laughing at my carelessness..

now you know how good i am in math test.
i always missed a mark or two thanks to careless mistakes like this..

My First Muffin of the day :
Banana Muffins

it freaking sank in the middle part instead of forming into this nice round top..
:: Too Mushy ::
a result of adding 10 times the amount of yogurt into the batter.
:: My Second Batch ::
it turned out to be just nice and even though not in the desired shape and look, it tasted just nice for me.
not too sweet that is..

:: My Third Attempt ::
this time i substituted the same amount of caster sugar for honey..
but it turned out to be a tad too sweet..
so in conclusion, honey is sweeter than sugar.
and not exactly as healthy as advertised..
...
and finally..

i added finely chopped bananas as the decoration to make myself look more professional

and thank god the muffin turned out to be the shape of a muffin.
yay!!

i rechecked all the ingredients and yes, it was perfect!
and tasted so nice i cried myself.

at least it was up to my healthy diet standard
not that sweet but still can be eaten alone..
even better if served with butter or jam

My favourite Food @ Malaysia

A few meals i had when i was back in Malaysia - The Food Paradise.

1) Dim Sum @ Meng Kok
was suppose to go to the new Foo Shan Dim Sum opposite it but it was so packed we decided not to wait..
Meng Kok is also another famous dim sum place but that day there were so little people there.
barely none, thanks to their competitor opposite..

made with charcoal ingredients in it, thats why its black in colour.
but its still soft and yummy!
and the green one has green tea in it.

Penang One Day Trip

I don't know is it me or is it Penang that each time i go there i have to sneak and lie my way through...
As opposed to going to KL..

As dad had been nagging me over and over and over of how bad the economy in Malaysia and the danger of going out and the main reason he let me come back was to spend time with grandparents and him and blah blah and blah..
i decided that i have to go Penang without telling him so there will be mutual happiness between us..
and it was really necessary for me to go Penang for the cendol and Sheryl's law notes..
I need the notes to feel secure and smart okayyy

And since Kenny had assured me hes the food expert and hes awesome and all, i met up with him and Sheryl to eat my cendol and get my notes.

Since the world is too small and Aileen happened to know Denis from swimming times, we decided to go Penang together..

First stop,
Kenny took us to the curry mee stall which was GOOD!
i love spicy stuff and that curry mee was really good.

Second Stop,
we had soya bean which is my favourite
but i still think Ipoh's Soya Bean is better...
and of course the homemade soya bean by me is the best!!

but the popiah in Penang differ from the ones in Ipoh..
Penang's popiah has soup with it while Ipoh's popiah is the dry and crunchy type..
i prefer dry and crunchy.

Fourth Stop,

Cendol that i have been craving for months at Komtar Road

there are two stalls there..
one extremely famous and the other is the total opposite..
Sheryl recommended the not so famous one as the famous one was a bit too commercialised and yes the cendol did taste awesome and i was happy to death.
wanted to get a second bowl but due to weight issues i controlled myself..

We asked the hawker to help us take a picture and i am quite certain that they were labelling us as " freaking tourist".after cendol, followed Sheryl back home.
Her notes were all well kept in boxes in the storeroom so she had to dig everything out just for me..
and she has the tidiest and detailed notes ever!!

while waiting for the guys, Sheryl treated me and Aileen her homemade tiramisu cake!
everyone is into tiramisu nowadays haha!!
and no doubt it was good coz shes like the pro in cooking...

Before heading home for dinner wih dad, Sheryl fetched us to Queensbay Mall which was our meeting point with Justin and Cat..

My 21st @ Beacon's Point, Ipoh

I know it has been forever for me to update my blog about my birthday.

I was just not in the right mood for blogging, and today, im awake at 7a.m. ready to blog.

So i was pestering dad to let me fly back to Malaysia so i could have my birthday there, with family and friends.
kinda spoilt i know..
THANKS DAD!

and after alot of thoughts and planning to have it in KL instead, i found out that it was way too troublesome for me and i didn't felt necessary to club after dinner.
Dad suggested Beacon Point which i think was perfect as the place was small and cozy.
and the initial plan was to invite people that im really close with..
but ended up, guest list growing larger and larger and hence the whole beacon point.
and seriously, planning a party is not easy, ESPECIALLY when on this day other people decided to have their birthday parties as well,
and when those other people are my friend's boyfriend, or relative or siblings in particular..

Anyway, i still had a fantastic night with the people there.

The food was good, not fantastic.
and the service was the worst ever.
first off, they did not give me any discounts for the party.
secondly, they asked the birthday girl, ME to serve my guests myself and i paid them service charge.
what bullshit.

they actually gave me that look when i asked them to serve up some red wine for the adults and later the friends..

and returned with wine glasses and shove them to me.
damn wtf.
and when i insist that they and not the birthday gilr who was already busy enough to serve the adults, they did not even bother and in the end the adults did not get any wine.

did i mention that in this holiday, the world just had to go against my strong desire to buy THAT PAIR of clubbing heels as my current one is really in a run down situation.
and despite visiting shops after shops of different shopping complexes, they decided to sell out my selected shoes OR they don't have the size i want!
and the girls knew how devastating it was..
and got me this pair that i tried on but was not my size heels.
anyhow, it still fits so no complaints!

KL Trip Part 2 - Friends and Friends!

Went to KL for the housewarming and as usual, Louis and Helen offered us a place to stay!
Since Helen had class that day, Shanti, Sherlyn and I decided to loiter around 1Utama while waiting for them to come pick us up..
Sherlyn was the usual photographer and the most persistent photographer i have ever met..
who insist on taking pictures of her friends even when walking and shopping??
haha!!

and since my birthday is after the day of the house warming party, which then all my friends will be rushing back to Ipoh to celebrate my birthday..
i decided to use my hard earn money and get myself a birthday dress.
so we went to boutiques like Topshop, Dorothy Perkins, Miss Selfridges etc etc to search for The Dress..
and as usual, Sherlyn kept snapping pictures of us and it was fun.
coz we were obviously not allowed to take pictures in fitting rooms, and Sherlyn has her way around...
damn pro! hard core training from Shanti i guess.

i remembered when i was younger mum will buy either sis or me a tube of Haagen Dazs if we got 100% in spelling at tuition..
so then, we usually ensure one of us get the 100% so we will get one tube of Haagen Dazs each week.

and of course at that time being so innocent, we just know that ice cream was the best ever and never thought of the price..
but now...totally different story lol

And At night, the girls and two guys hit Zouk!
that day was ladies night so girls going to be 21 are allowed into the club..
but the guys had to fake their id..
but main point is we all got in.

when i was studying in college, i heard alot bout this place from Chia E..
didn't get the chance to go back then as i have no knowledge and never heard of the word 'clubbing' before..
until E told me that is..
anyway i always had the impression that it was a really awesome place but it kinda let me down..
the place was packed.
and being packed is still okay,
but like packed with uncles and perverts is not.
we had to pull each other away from those perverts and totally make that night not as fun.

thats why i still prefer Metros.
hah!!

but still, taking pictures with the girls are ALWAYS ALWAYS fun!!
